Role Description The Design Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ho Chi Minh City. This role oversees end-to-end design processes for office projects, from concept development to final delivery, ensuring alignment with client requirements and HAN SPACES design standards.
The Design
Manager leads and mentors the design team, coordinates with
project managers, engineers, and contractors, and presents design proposals to clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, reviewing drawings and specifications, managing timelines and resources, and ensuring design quality and consistency across projects. The role also involves staying current on workplace trends, materials, and technologies to continually improve design solutions.
Qualifications
Strong background in interior design, architecture, or related field, with experience in office or commercial projects.
Proficiency in design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software).
Demonstrated ability to lead design teams, manage multiple projects, and coordinate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate business needs into design solutions.
Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, building codes, and ergonomic and workplace design principles.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and deadlines.
Experience working in international or multicultural environments and fluency in English; Vietnamese language skills are an advantage.
