Designer - Garment Product Development

Job Purpose
The Designer will be responsible for creating and developing garment product concepts, artworks, and visual presentations that support customer needs and business growth.
This position focuses on turning market trends and buyer briefs into practical design solutions ready for sampling and production, ensuring designs are both creative and commercially viable for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Design & Development
Create garment design sketches, colorways, and print/embroidery artworks based on customer briefs or internal development direction.
Translate design concepts into clear and accurate technical packs for the sample and production teams.
Collaborate with merchandising and sample teams to ensure feasibility and on-time delivery of proto, fit, and PPS samples.
Prepare design presentations and digital mock-ups for internal and customer reviews.
2. Market & Trend Research
Research seasonal trends, fabrics, and silhouettes relevant to key product categories (knit, woven, activewear, kidswear, etc.).
Propose new concepts and design ideas aligned with brand positioning and market direction.
Maintain a library of design references, materials, and finishing details for future use.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with the merchandising, fabric sourcing, and sample room teams to align design feasibility, material selection, and cost efficiency.
Coordinate with production and technical departments to ensure designs meet manufacturing standards.
Support visual preparation for customer meetings and product presentations.
