We are looking for some developers to join our product team. Joining us, you will have a chance to build the first marketplace in Vietnam with so much technology challenge. As a developer, you will be involved in building products to enable an excellent experience.
What you will do:
- Bachelor's degree (Good rank or above) in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a DBA role.
- Strong expertise in relational databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server.
- Working knowledge and operational experience with MongoDB, MariaDB.
- Solid scripting and automation skills are required (e.g. PowerShell / T-SQL for SQL Server, mongo shell / JavaScript for MongoDB, Bash).
- Basic understanding of networking is a plus.
- Careful, diligent, proactive; able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Willing to work overtime or be on-call outside business hours when required.

MUST-HAVE:
- Strong query tuning skills on SQL Server (execution plan analysis, indexing strategy, wait statistics, common anti-patterns).
- Diagnose and resolve database bottlenecks: slow queries, blocking, deadlocks, and resource contention.
- Apply equivalent troubleshooting and tuning practices on MongoDB (indexes, aggregation pipeline, profiler) and MariaDB (slow query log, EXPLAIN, InnoDB tuning).
- Design and operate backup & restore strategies (full / differential / log, point-in-time recovery, snapshot) to meet system SLO and SLA.
- Regularly test restore drills to validate RPO / RTO targets.
- Familiar with high-availability and disaster-recovery concepts, with basic hands-on experience operating at least one of the following in production:
+ SQL Server: Always On Availability Groups or Failover Cluster, Log Shipping, basic Replication.
+ MongoDB: Replica Set.
+ MariaDB: master-slave / master-master replication.
- Database security and access control: manage users, roles and permissions following the least-privilege principle; configure auditing, encryption-at-rest and TLS in-transit; manage service accounts and rotate credentials safely.
- Analyze and respond rapidly to database-related incidents in production; perform root-cause analysis and follow up with preventive actions.
- Deep understanding of database internal architecture and key metrics (e.g. SQL Server wait stats / DMVs, MongoDB serverStatus, MariaDB performance schema) to identify what should be observed.
- Collaborate with DevOps / SRE to build monitoring tooling (e.g. Prometheus / Grafana or equivalent) and define meaningful alert thresholds for early detection of database issues across all environments (Dev / Staging / Production).
- Produce periodic reports on database issues, capacity, and performance trends.
- Participate in schema design and data modeling reviews: advise development teams on normalization / denormalization, indexing, partitioning for large tables, and sharding key selection for MongoDB.
- Capacity planning and growth forecasting: monitor utilization trends (storage, IOPS, connections, RAM working set) and proactively recommend scale-up / scale-out actions before bottlenecks occur.
- Plan and execute database version upgrades and security patching with minimal downtime: compatibility assessment, test plan, rollback strategy, and rolling upgrades for replica sets / clusters.
- Maintain runbooks and operational documentation; share database knowledge with development teams.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience operating database services across multiple data centers (multi-DC) with controlled downtime and failover procedures.
- Experience with advanced HA / clustering: SQL Server distributed AG, MongoDB Sharded Cluster, MariaDB Galera Cluster.
