Location: SFM Long An
Reports to: Factory Manager / Head of Product Creation Center
Employment type: Full Time
Coordinate footwear development samples at shoefabrik's SFM factory, from request through confirmation and commercialisation. Working directly with the sample production team, shoefabrik development teams and technical specialists, you will verify readiness and progress, recognise problems early and keep each sample moving towards its agreed completion date.
Key responsibilities
• Review each request, including the technical package, bill of materials (BOM), colourway, sizes, quantities and requested completion date. Open a record for every model and sample stage; clarify missing or conflicting information before execution.
• Check material availability with the relevant teams and follow up
Purchasing on expected dispatch and arrival dates. Track material testing, approvals, batching and improvement actions.
• Coordinate readiness of patterns, cutting dies, moulds, lasts, tooling and components. Agree cutting, stitching, assembly and finishing dates with the sample room and resource owners. Confirm capacity and technical readiness before committing to completion dates.
• Check in-house sample progress physically each day and obtain evidence of outsourced progress. Follow stitching, printing, embroidery, moulding and other treatments; record blockers and agree recovery actions with the responsible teams.
• Control the issue and use of the latest approved BOM, patterns, technical documents, materials and reference samples. Flag discrepancies and prevent outdated or unapproved items from entering sample execution.
• Recognise construction, fit, workmanship or process concerns and bring them to Development, the Pattern Master, Engineering or Quality as appropriate. Record technical decisions and track corrections through completion.
• Arrange internal fitting reviews, sample evaluations and quality confirmation before dispatch. Record comments, approval status and learning points for the next sample stage.
• Confirm packing, labelling, documentation and dispatch arrangements. Provide shipment evidence and tracking details to the customer development team.
• Maintain sample history through confirmation and commercialisation, including versions, materials, comments, approvals and shipments. Keep a daily status view showing stage, action owner, due date, blocker and next step; escalate delivery or capacity risks early.
Authority and working relationships
You own sample tracking, coordination and action follow-up. Work through one factory reporting manager, who resolves competing sample and production priorities with Development and Planning. Agree access to shared people, machines and tooling before committing dates. Hold affected work or dispatch when required inputs or approvals are missing, following factory procedures.
Development confirms requirements and customer decisions. The Pattern Master and Engineering own patterns, tooling and technical solutions; Quality owns quality acceptance. Purchasing owns purchasing commitments. Route technical questions to the assigned specialists and escalate unavailable support to the reporting manager. Technical changes and sample release require the relevant authorised approvals.
