DevOps Engineer

ROLE
• You will be responsible for defining, provisioning and managing the cloud environments
• Automate, build and deploy solutions
• Propose approach/tools to fit to purposes
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Support teams on design and deployment best practices
• Participate in R&D
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Creating and configuring virtualized systems in the AWS environment;
• Performing infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while minimizing downtime;
• Deploying applications in AWS using EC2 instances and Elastic Beanstalk;
• Creating blueprints using CloudFormation templates for common workloads;
• Implementing automation using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) to manage AWS services;
• Building tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources in an AWS environment;
• Developing software components in Java/Python .NET that interact with AWS cloud services by leveraging the AWS APIs;
• Analysis on the Digital Technology and Bancassurance Platform, In-house System and Technology experts to review source code deliveries from vendors and control deployment operations;
• Program new features and correct software defects;
• Ensure corrective and preventive maintenance and small service requests are delivered and are prioritized;
• Ensure that service, operational and support requirements are taken into consideration and solutions are ready to be transitioned to the live;
• Responsible for ensuring that sufficient testing of solutions has taken place to minimize any disruption during transition to live;
• Ensure that the right levels of communication are provided, relationships around the business are developed and nurtured and the expectations of key stakeholders are managed;
• Be actively involved in the complete project lifecycle, from requirement analysis to final delivery;
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities.
