Starting Pay Rate: $15.00
Are you passionate about sustainability and creating positive change at Michigan State University? Join the Residential Hospitality Services (RHS)Sustainability Office as a Student Sustainability Eco-Rep and become a leader in promoting environmental stewardship within the residence halls.
As an Eco-Rep, you will inspire fellow Spartans to adopt sustainable practices through education, engagement, and hands-on programming. Working alongside the RHS Sustainability Office, you will help plan and implement sustainability initiatives, support campus events, and serve as a sustainability ambassador within your residential neighborhood.
This position offers valuable leadership experience, professional development, networking opportunities, and the chance to make a lasting impact on campus sustainability efforts.

Required Qualifications
Be currently enrolled as a Michigan State University student.
Live in an undergraduate residence hall during employment.
Serve as a sustainability ambassador within your residence hall or neighborhood.
Promote environmentally responsible behaviors through outreach, education, and peer engagement.
Assist with planning and facilitating sustainability events, educational programs, and awareness campaigns.
Support campus resource fairs, move-in and move-out initiatives, and other sustainability events.
Assist with hands-on projects such as recycling education, upcycling workshops, waste reduction initiatives, and special sustainability campaigns.
Collaborate with RHS staff, student organizations, and campus partners to increase sustainability awareness.
Help distribute educational materials and promote RHS Sustainability programs through in-person engagement and social media.
Attend regular Eco-Rep meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Be dependable, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Interested in educating others.
Comfortable with presenting in front of others.
