We're building a custom high-performance wireless datalink for UAVs - a greenfield project moving from COTS prototyping toward custom silicon. You'll develop the embedded Linux software stack and work side-by-side with our FPGA/RF team.
* What you'll do
● Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers (netdev, DMA, hardware register interface) and userspace daemons for link control, configuration, and telemetry
● Implement features to spec and own a well-defined slice end-to-end - from code to test to integration
● Build small prototypes to validate behavior before a feature is finalized
● Integrate with the FPGA team against an agreed driver ↔ hardware interface
● Test and validate: write tests, measure real behavior (latency, throughput, error rates), and verify against requirements
Yêu cầu
* Must have - technical
● 2-5 years embedded Linux experience (BSP + kernel drivers) on ARM SoCs
● Strong C/C++ and a solid understanding of Linux kernel internals
● Comfortable with cross-compilation, embedded toolchains, and debugging on real hardware
* How you work
● Ownership - take a well-scoped task and follow it through to working, tested code
● Verification discipline - ground decisions in evidence (measurement, source, tests) instead of trusting plausible-looking output
● Cross-team communication - work cleanly against interfaces defined with the hardware team, ask sharp questions, raise issues early
● Fast learner - comfortable picking up unfamiliar domains (SDR, RF, FPGA, kernel)
● Pragmatic - ship in increments, avoid over-engineering
* Nice to have
● Embedded Linux on FPGA SoC platforms
● Linux networking / wireless stack
● Baseband / PHY knowledge relevant to a UAV datalink (OFDM, modulation, channel coding, link adaptation)
