We are looking for a skilled and passionate Software-Hardware Integration Verification and Validation Engineer to join our team, focusing on the integration, verification, development of software drivers. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing our SoCs by designing, implementing and porting essential software components for embedded environments. The role requires expertise in hardware-software integration and low-level programming.
Main Responsibilities
• Low-Level Software Development: Develop board support packages (BSPs) and register-level programming for chiplets; microcontrollers, PMICs, ... Implement and debug device drivers and configure and initialize peripherals.
• Configure Realtime Processor Units (RPU) & Application Processor Units (APUs) of Chiplets.
• Bootloader Customization: Customize and configures Bootloader for RPUs and U-Boot for APUs.
• Implementation of secure boot
• Configure Linux kernel (integration of driver, optimization of performances).
• Interface Implementation & debugging: Integrate and troubleshoot communication interfaces (e.g. I2C, SPI, CAN, PCI, UCIe, USB, LPDDR, Camera, Display Port).
• Implement and debug communication protocols at hardware and software levels.
• Hardware-Software Integration: Perform board bring-up and validation for hardware platforms.
• Debug hardware interfaces using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Develop test tool for Hardware-specific test also covering system test level.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Completed university studies in Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering,
Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in English.
HARDWARE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
• Board bring-up and validation for custom hardware platforms.
• Debugging hardware interfaces using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• SW debugging tools.
• NOR-Flash, DRAM, UFS.
LOW-LEVEL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
• Register-level programming for Microprocessor / SoC (e.g. ARM /A78 series,...), and Microcontrollers (e.g. ARM Cortex M series, Cortex R series...).
• Development of device drivers and peripheral initialization.
BOOTLOADER & OS EXPERTISE
• Bootloader customization for RPU.
• U-Boot customization for APU.
• Linux OS: driver integration, kernel configuration, and performance tuning.
• Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS): task scheduling, interrupt handling, and deterministic execution.
INTERFACE KNOWLEDGE
• Practical experience with (I2C, SPI, Ethernet, CAN, PCI, UCIe, USB, LPDDR, Camera, Display Port).
• Debugging and implementing communication protocols at hardware and software levels.
PREFERRED KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
• Successfully enabled multiple new hardware boards from prototype to production.6
• Integrated custom Linux drivers for high-speed interfaces.
• Optimized bootloader and kernel for reduced startup time and improved reliability.
• Experience in verification and validation of RPU, APU, SoC, Chiplets in context of an automotive system.
