Job Overview

The Employee Relation Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing employee relations strategies, policies, and programs that support a positive workplace culture. The person will serve as a key advisor to management and employees, ensuring fair and consistent treatment, compliance with labor laws, and the resolution of workplace issues. This role requires a deep understanding of employment laws, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement employee relations policies, procedures, and programs to promote a positive work environment and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on employee relations issues, providing guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
• Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and allegations of misconduct, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
• Collaborate with HR team members and management to develop and deliver training programs on employee relations topics, including conflict resolution, effective communication, and workplace ethics.
• Monitor and analyze employee relations trends and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing proactive measures to address potential issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring the company's compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Lead and participate in employee engagement initiatives, fostering a culture of open communication, respect, and collaboration.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations cases, including terminations, layoffs, and disciplinary actions, ensuring consistency and fairness.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for talent retention, employee satisfaction, and overall organizational effectiveness.
• Prepare and present reports on employee relations activities, trends, and outcomes to senior management.

Yêu cầu
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in employee relations or a related HR role, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including experience with labor relations and union environments.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive matters.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
