Job Summary
The Engineering Engineer (Automation background) at Vilube Factory is responsible for maintaining,
troubleshooting, and continuously improving automation and control systems supporting blending,
batching, filling, packaging, and utility operations. This position works closely with Production,
Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure reliable operation of manufacturing equipment while driving automation upgrades, predictive maintenance initiatives, and equipment reliability improvements.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Automation System Maintenance
• Maintain and support PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial control systems for blending and filling
operations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot automation, instrumentation, electrical, and control system failures.
• Perform software backups, version control, and disaster recovery planning for automation systems.
• Ensure all control systems operate reliably, safely, and efficiently.
• Support manufacturing operations by providing technical expertise during critical equipment failures.
Equipment Reliability & Maintenance
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for automation-related breakdowns and recurring failures.
• Develop and improve preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
• Analyze equipment performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Improve reliability of filling machines, mixers, pumps, conveyors, cappers, labelers, and packaging
equipment.
• Support reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives.
Process & Automation Improvement
• Optimize control logic, machine sequencing, and process parameters to improve throughput and
quality.
• Implement automation upgrades to reduce equipment downtime and maintenance costs.
• Support digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for asset performance monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual maintenance and inspection activities.
Instrumentation & Controls
• Maintain and calibrate process instrumentation including:
Flow meters
Pressure transmitters
Level sensors
Load cells
Temperature sensors
Control valves
• Troubleshoot communication networks and field devices.
• Ensure control loops are properly tuned and operating effectively.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
• Participate in automation and capital improvement projects.
• Support equipment installation, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Collaborate with OEMs and system integrators to resolve technical issues.
• Develop and maintain automation standards and documentation.
Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with safety, ISO, OSHA, and company standards.
• Support machine safety systems including safety PLCs, interlocks, light curtains, and emergency stops.
• Conduct risk assessments related to automation and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Yêu cầu
Qualification & Certification
• Bachelor's degree, Automation Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in batching, blending, filling, packaging or process manufacturing automation, maintenance engineering, or industrial controls.
• Strong troubleshooting experience in PLC-based manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Capability to communicate in English.
• Computer skills: MS office, AutoCAD.
