Our global development center in Vietnam is looking for talented people to build the next generation of these products. JTL Shop 6.0 is a new, cloud-native multi-shop SaaS platform: headless, API-first, built on Microsoft Azure, and closely integrated with the JTL ERP Cloud as the leading cloud ERP system. The goal is a scalable, economically operable platform that lets growth-oriented merchants run multiple shops, brands, and markets from a single backend. To build this platform - from architecture through MVP launch - we are assembling a new, interdisciplinary project team.
As Engineering Manager / Delivery Manager, you take on overall technical and organizational responsibility for delivering JTL Shop 6.0 - across frontend, backend, and infrastructure. You plan scope and milestones, make key architectural decisions together with the senior engineers, and ensure that a complex, cross-team project is delivered reliably and to a high standard of quality.
Your responsibilities
Take on overall technical and organizational responsibility for delivering JTL Shop 6.0 across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
Plan delivery scope, milestones, and releases, and coordinate the work of parallel workstreams (frontend, backend, DevOps, QA)
Make and facilitate key architectural decisions together with the senior engineers, particularly around microservices, APIs, and cloud-native implementation on Azure
Identify and manage risks related to integration (especially the JTL ERP Cloud connection), scalability, and technical dependencies
Serve as the central point of contact for JTL stakeholders on scope, prioritization, and timelines
Ensure code quality through reviews, mentoring, and clear standards, including a pull request process with mandatory checks and senior/lead review
Ensure transparency on progress, risks, and decisions towards the team and management
Hire, lead, develop and retain a team of 6 engineers (4 backend and 2 frontend)
What you need to bring with you
Several years of experience (typically 7+ years) in software development, including multiple years in a technical lead or delivery lead role
Proven track record of successfully steering complex, cross-team software projects, ideally in ecommerce, SaaS, or platform products
Solid knowledge of modern, cloud-native architectures: microservices, API-first design, event-driven systems
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure
Confident use of agile methodologies/Scrum and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
Experience with roadmap and milestone planning in multi-team environments
Strong communication skills towards development teams, product management, and senior management in English
Experience in risk and dependency management for complex integration projects, e.g. ERP connections
Experience in leading and managing teams of engineers
A big plus
Experience with headless/PWA architectures and multi-tenant SaaS platforms
Knowledge of e-commerce environments or cloud ERP integrations, ideally the JTL ERP Cloud or comparable systems
Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) within a team
Experience in e-commerce or other high-traffic platforms - you know what it takes to architect for Black Friday peaks and mission-critical uptime
Experience in building successful Shop systems
