Equipment Engineer

Purpose of the job:
Ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all production equipment and related facilities. Execute equipment maintenance, repair, improvement, and installation activities to meet the company's production and quality goals.
Principal accountabilities/Main tasks:
Maintenance and Repair:
• Plan and execute periodic preventive maintenance (PM) activities for all production equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform necessary repairs quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose the root cause of equipment problems and propose corrective solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repair, and component replacement activities.
Equipment Improvement and Installation:
• Participate in the selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment: Conceptualize/design solutions, DFM (Design for Manufacturability).
• Work with suppliers and relevant departments to optimize design concepts.
• Propose and implement improvements to existing equipment to enhance performance, reliability, and reduce costs.
• Design and implement mechanical and electrical modifications to equipment.
• Ensure equipment installation complies with technical and safety standards.
• Responsible for installing, inspecting, and verifying equipment to meet product manufacturing requirements and customer requirements.
Material and Component Management:
• Monitor the status of spare parts and components for equipment.
• Propose ordering materials and components when necessary.
Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all equipment-related activities comply with occupational safety and environmental regulations.
• Participate in the development and implementation of safety procedures related to equipment.
• Train and guide operating staff on the basic use and maintenance of equipment.
Collaboration:
• Coordinate closely with other departments such as Production, Quality, etc., to ensure smooth operation of the factory.
• Support technicians and other staff in the department when necessary.
Other Tasks:
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
