Job Summary:
The Factory Fit-up QC Inspector is responsible to support the Production Lead to carry out at the joining stage before welding for all the different parts that are closely connected and all activities related to preparing before welding structures and pipe fabrication in accordance with Project Specification and standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES / NGHIA VU & TRACH NHIEM:
• Material ID traceability verification, Material specification and grade, Heat No., Plate No., Part name, item name, piece mark, project name.
• To carry out dimension checking before cutting, fit-up as well as transfer Heat number and Traceability number (including extra material) according to design and construction drawing.
• Check Root gap.
• Check surface weld joint cleaning condition, tack weld condition.
• Check the circumferential, length, beveling (angle), misalignment according to the fabrication drawings.
• Check all dimensions after fitting and before welding to make sure dimensions are correct with drawings, the weld joint fit-up is also checked.
• Make sure that all the fit-up activities are being performed as per the requirements of certain codes and standards.
• Review and understand the applicable welding procedure specification, codes/standards, and inspection requirements prior to welding.
• Coordinate with Production/Construction Team to monitor fit-up process as per project technical requirements.
• Report to Production Leader.
• Control overall dimension and leveling of structure frame before/after welding
• Coordinate with Production/Construction Team to monitor fit-up process as per project technical requirement.
JOB AUTHORITY/ QUYEN HAN CONG VIEC:
- Given guidance to fitters for relative fit-up active in accordance with project specification
- Oversee a team of filters
- Conduct failure analyses and cause analyses on fit-up issues.
- Planning for fit-up to welding stage.
