Key Roles &
Responsibilities
As a key member of the VN Renewable Energy team, the FC will be responsible for supporting day-to-day business of all assets in Vietnam and overseeing all financial and tax aspects of their existing operations and new ventures, driving business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and governance.
Finance &
Tax Operation
Lead and oversee all finance, accounting, and tax operations; ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions and preparation of statutory, Group, management reports, in accordance with applicable accounting standards (VAS and IFRS as relevant), company policies and regulatory requirements;
Review and manage cash flow forecast, funding and liquidity positions to support business decisions and optimize capital management;
Lead annual budget and monthly forecasting/closing process for the country, including preparation, submission, performance monitoring and variance analysis.
Establish and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to mitigate risks, safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, promote business efficiency, and encourage adherence to the company policies, rules, regulations, and laws.
Tax compliance
Serve as the key finance partner to internal and external stakeholders on tax matters, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations;
Ensure tax filings (including TP if applicable) are prepared and submitted in due course;
Lead tax audits and maintain relationship with tax authorities.
Growth Support
Lead finance and tax due diligence and negotiations on related finance and tax matters for growth opportunities;
Provide finance and tax inputs to the Financial Memorandum for growth opportunities.
Support funding efforts for growth initiatives, optimize borrowing cost.
Strategic Finance &
Leadership
Partner with key functions in development of strategic plans and rolling business operational plan, providing insightful financial recommendations to facilitate management decisions;
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, including talent development and succession planning to ensure organizational capability and continuity;
Develop and implement robust financial policies, systems, and controls.
Stakeholder Management
Support all other functions in Sembcorp Vietnam to ensure smooth day-to-day operations for all assets in the country.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as JV partners, lenders (international and local), tax authorities, auditors, and provincial authorities.
Collaborate effectively with regional and Group teams within Sembcorp
Qualifications &
Experience
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance / qualified accountant from accounting institute such as CFA/ ACCA is required with not less than 10 years of relevant working experience in Finance &
Accounts. Some experience in local audit/Big 4 preferred.
Fluent in spoken and written English
Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standard and International Financial Reporting Standards.
Knowledge of regulatory laws, tax code changes
Proficiency in tax filings, documentations and control

Strong analytical competency
Knowledge of SAP is preferred.

Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams in a dynamic business environment
