Office Location: 555 3/2 Street, Ward 8, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City;
Working time: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday - Friday) and 8:30 - 12:30 (Saturday Morning).
Responsibilities:
I. Technical Specification Development:
1. Create and maintain detailed tech packs for each garment, including:
- Construction details;
- Bill of Materials (BOM);
- Measurement charts and grading rules;
- Label and packaging instructions.
2. Update tech packs as needed during the development process in collaboration with the Pattern Maker.
II. Fit and Sample Evaluation:
- Lead fit sessions, working closely with the Pattern Maker to evaluate garment prototypes for size, fit, and functionality;
- Analyze fit issues and recommend pattern adjustments or construction changes;
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to the Pattern Maker and manufacturers to implement fit revisions.
III. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with designers and the Pattern Maker to ensure design vision aligns with technical execution;
- Partner with the Pattern Maker to ensure patterns meet construction and fit specifications;
- Work with R&D to ensure fabric and trim compatibility with design and pattern requirements.
IV. Quality Assurance:
- Define and uphold quality standards for garment construction, fit, and finishing;
- Identify potential quality issues early and collaborate with the Pattern Maker and QA/QC teams to propose solutions;
- Ensure production garments align with approved samples and technical specifications.
V. Vendor and Factory Communication:
- Provide clear technical guidance to factories and vendors to ensure accurate production;
- Address and resolve technical queries from production teams, involving the Pattern Maker when necessary.
VI. Production Readiness:
- Review and approve pre-production samples (PPS) for quality and adherence to specifications;
- Ensure all final specifications are accurate and clearly communicated to manufacturing partners, with input from the Pattern Maker.
Requirements:
I. Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical design or a similar role in the fashion industry;
II. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra) and Adobe Illustrator;
- Strong understanding of garment construction, grading, and fabric behavior;
- Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems is a plus.
III. Soft Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy;
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues;
- Effective communication skills to liaise between design, production, and external vendors;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
