GENERAL ACCOUNTANT

The General Accountant is responsible for overseeing full-spectrum general accounting activities with a strong focus on tax compliance and advisory. This role ensures compliance with Vietnamese regulations and internal/group policies while acting as a subject matter expert in tax-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
A. General Accounting:
Handle full sets of accounts including GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, accruals, and provisions
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with VAS (IFRS is a plus)
Perform month-end closing activities accurately and within deadlines
Reconcile accounting data across systems (ERP, Data Warehouse, Excel reports, etc.)
Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
Support internal and external audits, including preparation of required documentation
B. Tax Management:
Expert to prepare and submit tax declarations on government systems: VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT
Handle annual tax finalization and work directly with tax authorities.
Monitor and update new tax regulations (Decrees, Circulars) and assess their impact annually.
Review invoices and supporting documents to ensure tax compliance
Identify tax risks and propose optimization solutions
Provide tax advisory support to internal stakeholders (contracts, expenses, payments, etc.)
C. Compliance & Process Improvement:
Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal/group policies
Develop and improve accounting and tax processes
Support the development of SOPs and conduct internal training on accounting and tax topics
D. HR & Admin Tasks:
Willing to contribute and participate in some HR & Admin activities
E. Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned
