The General Accountant supports Rieckermann Vietnam's Finance & Accounting function by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, reconciliations, accounting records, tax documentation, banking activities and fixed asset schedules. Through this activity, the General Accountant contributes to effective internal controls, statutory compliance and the Company's smooth financial operations.
Job Duties
PRIMARY
Process and reconcile overseas payments and advances.
Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
Process urgent customs duty payments and import-related transactions.
Check supporting documents in the JR system.
Process tax and social insurance payments.
Upload payment files to online banking platforms and follow up payment approvals.
Coordinate with banks and provide supporting documents for payment processing.
Reconcile all bank accounts on a weekly and monthly basis.
Archive bank statements, bank e-invoices, banking documentation, bank mandates, and banking administration.
Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items.
Commission computation (after probation)
Prepare VAT and FCT reconciliations.
Prepare and archive tax filings, tax returns and supporting schedules.
Prepare and archive monthly fixed asset depreciation schedules.
SECONDARY
To perform ad hoc accounting tasks or projects as required by the
Finance Manager• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in multinational, trading, import export or industrial company.
• Practical experience in Accounts Payable, Treasury, General Ledger, tax reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Good knowledge of Vietnamese accounting standards and applicable tax regulations.
• Experience with VAT, Foreign Contractor Tax, social insurance payments and bank reconciliation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including reconciliation, lookup, PivotTable and data-analysis functions.
• Good written and spoken English.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Strong numerical, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, urgent payments and reporting deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
