JOB SUMMARY
Group Head of Oncology will provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the Oncology specialty across Hoan My Hospitals. This role is responsible for defining annual, mid and long-term Oncology strategy for the entire group, driving the development and execution of business plans, and ensuring excellence in clinical quality, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability across all Hoan My hospitals. The position will play a pivotal role in positioning Hoan My as the leading private healthcare provider in Oncology in Vietnam.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership:
Define and implement the group-wide Oncology strategy, aligned with Hoan My's corporate vision and growth plans
Identify opportunities for Oncology service development, including centers of excellence, comprehensive cancer care models, and advanced treatment modalities
Monitor market trends, technologies, and clinical innovations to ensure Hoan My remains competitive and future-ready
Business Development & Execution
Develop and execute Oncology business plans for short-, mid-, and long-term horizons
Lead the establishment and expansion of Oncology services across hospitals (medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, palliative care, pathology, imaging)
Identify and pursue partnerships (academic, research, pharmaceutical, technology) to strengthen the Oncology portfolio
Monitor business performance and ensure Oncology services meet revenue, growth, and profitability targets
Clinical Governance & Quality
Collaborate with Chief Medical Officers, Hospital Directors, and Heads of Department to establish clinical pathways, protocols, and standards of care
Ensure compliance with national and international guidelines in Oncology care
Champion quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based medicine initiatives in Oncology
People Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Oncology leadership team across the hospital network.
Foster collaboration between multidisciplinary teams (medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, pharmacists).
Engage key stakeholders (government bodies, insurers, patient advocacy groups, international experts) to strengthen Hoan My's Oncology reputation.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Experience & Knowledge:
Level II Medical Doctor and/or higher qualification with specialization in Oncology (Medical, Surgical, or Radiation) required; advanced degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
15+ years of experience in Oncology, with at least 10 years in senior leadership or strategic management roles
Proven track record in developing and scaling Oncology services in hospital/healthcare networks
Strong understanding of clinical practices, business development, and healthcare economics in Oncology
Experience in working within large healthcare organizations, preferably across multiple sites.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Fluency in English and Vietnamese is required
Physical
Office-based with site visits as required.
