• Design & Development: Lead end-to-end SSD hardware design, including schematic design, PCB layout, component selection (NAND, Flash Controller), and power delivery circuits.
• Validation & Debugging: Perform detailed electrical/functional measurements, bring-up, and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Signal Integrity & Thermal: Ensure high-speed signal routing integrity (e.g., PCIe, DDR) and optimize thermal performance.
• Testing & Compliance: Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Analysis (FA) to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards (PCIe, NVMe, ESD, EMI).
• Collaboration: Work with ASIC, Firmware, and Mechanical Engineering teams to deliver high-performance, compact storage solutions.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 6+ years of experience in SSD/Storage hardware design and validation. Deep knowledge and experience of storage technology.
• Hardware Design Capability: Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, Altium) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE).
• Interface/Protocol Knowledge: Strong understanding of PCIe, NVMe, DDR, NAND Flash, and high-speed design principles.
• Lab Experience: Hands-on experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Hi-speed signal Analyzer...) for debugging and validation.
• Analytical Skills: Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with low-power design techniques. Familiarity with firmware interaction and storage system architecture.
• Communication: Communication: Strong English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and with various Customers.
