Role Description
Vela Vietnam is looking for an enthusiastic Accounting Intern to support daily accounting and finance operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical experience in accounting processes, financial data management, and business operations within a professional technology environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance & Accounting team and gain exposure to accounting practices in an international software company.
Responsibilities
Accounting Operations Support
Assist in checking, processing, and organizing accounting documents.
Support the verification of invoices, receipts, and payment documents.
Update accounting data into internal systems.
Maintain and organize accounting records and financial documents.
Payment & Expense Management
Support the preparation of payment requests and related documentation:
Operating expenses.
Vendor payments.
Internal company expenses.
Review supporting documents to ensure compliance with company policies.
Assist in monitoring accounts payable and expense records.
Reporting & Data Management
Support the preparation of periodic accounting reports.
Collect and consolidate financial data for reporting purposes.
Assist in basic financial data analysis and reconciliation activities.
Perform data checking to ensure accuracy and completeness.
General Support
Provide administrative support to the Accounting & Finance team.
Coordinate with other departments to collect required documents and information.
Participate in process improvement initiatives related to accounting operations and data management.
Perform other tasks assigned by the Accounting team.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Final-year students or fresh graduates majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. (Priority to outstanding academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.7/4.0)
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills (written and verbal), ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and meticulous attention to detail.
Internship Commitment
Commit to a minimum internship duration of 6 months.
Able to work: Full-time internship (preferred), or Part-time internship with a minimum commitment of 3 working sessions per week.
