The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing internal controls, and coordinating with auditors and regulatory authorities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to enforce financial policies and procedures effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & General Accounting: - Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
2. Tax Compliance & Regulatory Filings: - Prepare and submit tax declarations, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Manage tax filings and ensure timely submission of all required tax documents.
- Coordinate with tax authorities and external auditors on tax-related matters.
3. Internal Controls & Audits: - Develop, implement, and enforce financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and conduct regular audits.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities to facilitate audits and inspections.
4. Financial Operations & Support: - Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities.
- Assist in other accounting and finance-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Accounting-related certifications are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
