Make History
We're not hiring "an AI Junior." We're recruiting
a championship-minded AI engineer.
Humanoid robots will likely become the next industrial revolution.
Most teams will build demos. A few will build machines that actually work in the real world.
We're building that team
.
We are a small team with high standards and big ambition.
If you want a career where you can point to a real humanoid robot and say
"I helped build that robot"
, this is your seat.
The Company
Physical Robotics is a Norway-based humanoid robotics company founded by
Dr. Phuong Nguyen (ex-cofounder of 1X Technologies)
and backed by
Skyfall Ventures together with leading Norwegian industrial partners and investors.
Our mission is to build a
production-grade humanoid platform that combines high-performance hardware with
physical intelligence
, systems that perceive, plan, and act reliably in real-world environments.
We are building for the next inflection point:
industrial deployment of humanoid robots in manufacturing and operations.
We benchmark ourselves against the strongest global players like Tesla, Figure, Boston Dynamics, Toyota, Xiaomi, and 1X Technologies with the aim to build systems that stand with the best.
For the A.I team, you will work with experienced experts from top institutions and companies from the US and EU to handle one of the most difficult challenges in A.I.
Your Responsibilities
Data → model pipeline:
preprocessing, dataset building, labeling strategy support, reproducible training runs
Model evaluation:
metrics that reflect reality, ablation discipline, error analysis, stress testing under domain shift
Deep learning implementation:
training and finetuning models in
PyTorch / TensorFlow / JAX
Applied ML domains:
contribute to
CV / NLP / signal processing components depending on project needs
LLM post-training:
exposure to
SFT and post-training workflows for real tasks (not just demos)
Engineering discipline:
clean experiments, versioned configs, documentation, and results that others can reproduce.
Role Overview/Requirement
As a Junior AI Engineer, you will work within a structured engineering environment, executing designs and learning from experienced engineers.
Strong background in
Mathematics (Linear Algebra, Statistic and Calculus), Computer Science (DSA, OOP, OS)
and
AI/ML fundamentals.
At least 1 year experience or required at least 1 method publication in premiere venues in AI/ML/CV/NLP (required rank B CORE or CCF C+)
Graduated or going to be graduated in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Engineering.
Strong coding skill in Python/C++ and problem solving.
Expert with deep learning frameworks: PyTorch / TensorFlow / JAX.
Experience in CV, NLP, or signal processing.
Familiarity with data preprocessing and model evaluation.
Familiar with LLM post-training and SFT.
Experience in handling
noisy dataset and time series dataset processing .
High learning velocity: willingness to learn new techniques and execute fast.
Nice to have
Top ranking in Kaggle
(competitions, notebooks, rankings).
Medal or track records in competitive programming (
Codeforces, AtCoder, etc.
) is a plus.
Hands-on experience in training models from scratch (not just doing fine-tuning on pretrained models).
Publications in top tier conferences such as Neurips/ICLR/ICML/ICRA/ICCV/CVPR/ACL/AAAI is a plus.
Interest in
robotics or
embodied AI.
You are
Excited to build
real hardware
, not just models
Comfortable learning by testing, failing, and improving
Willing to take ownership of your designs
Curious, disciplined, and detail-oriented
Motivated by hard engineering problems, not shortcuts
Ready to grow into a world-class hardware engineer
This role is for people who want to earn their place in a global humanoid robotics race.
Benefits
Career Growth Opportunities: Opportunities to grow professionally by leading financial strategies for an innovative company at the forefront of humanoid robotics.
Innovative and Dynamic Work Environment:
Be part of a fast-paced, high-tech industry, contributing to groundbreaking technological advancements.
Networking and Exposure:
Interaction with top-tier investors, board members, industry leaders, and key stakeholders.
Professional Development and Learning:
Access to ongoing education, training, and cutting-edge financial tools.
Impact on Global Innovation:
Contribute to shaping the future of robotics, transforming industries, and improving lives globally.
Interview Process
Round 1: CV Screening
Round 2: Phone interview: you will be expected to have the coding interview for the algorithm and machine learning and discussing technical background with our team.
Round 3: Onsite interview: you will be expected to have more questions regarding the system design, experiences and working style.
