Work closely with executives, global/regional stakeholders and Opco teams, the Head of Data & Analytics will define and lead the roadmap for key analytics capabilities. The leader will identify opportunities to leverage data for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to drive growth and cost optimization in Vietnam. He/she would transform the current data landscape, gaps, technologies and modernize data platforms to build a successful data management strategy, reporting system, and advanced analytics use cases (leverage AI/Machine Learning) in the organization.
Key Accountabilities
Data & Analytics Strategy and Roadmap
Develop data & analytics strategy and recommend new advanced solutions based on a deep knowledge of business needs, industry trends, best practices and emerging products and services to bring value to the business
Define, own and deploy roadmaps for data and analytics services, drive adoption of services defined in the roadmap; leverage and support existing architectural standard platforms; ensure roadmap fits into the global integrated enterprise roadmaps, drive governance of technologies and standardization of products and models
Define, own and deploy the standards & practices of Data Governance & Data Management
Define, own and deploy the best practices & framework of Data architect for modernised analytics data platforms & data integrations to enable digital products
Establish strong credibility with
business leaders and stakeholders through functional domain knowledge, deep understanding of data sets, and expert knowledge of products and solutions
Orchestrate and prioritise high value analytics needs/solutions/use-cases
Promote and drive adoption of existing/new solutions in the market
Communicate and evangelize how data can be applied to enable the company strategy
Solution Delivery
Develop and deliver BI and Advanced Analytics solutions for high impact business opportunities
Engage and orchestrate data engineers,
data scientists and analytics professionals across the organization to leverage the power of data and analytics for growth
Ability to delve deep into the business requirements and build solutions to solve problems/pain points
Lead a team responsible for functional design and delivery of key analytics solutions and products
Qualify and quantify business value delivered through solutions
Leverage analytics and data science best practices to deliver leading solutions
Establish and maintain insights/analytics library of best practices and use cases for reuse and scale it globally/regionally
Through extensive experience with market data, partner data, and other third-party data sources, determine how different data sets can be combined with company owned data to answer challenging business questions
Effectively balance cost, time, value, resources, and complexity in designing and delivering analytics capabilities
Drive process to cleanse and verify the integrity of data used for analysis - perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner
Internal / External Connection
Work closely with APAC Head of Data & Analytics and cocreate in building data and analytics strategy, solutions, operational model and efficiencies
Own the data & analytics portfolio for Vietnam working with other Digital Teams in the organization
Work with global counterparts and deliver on key product roadmaps and feature sets using agile methods via matrixed teams
Engage with global, regional and other markets' (OpCos) stakeholders and demonstrate thought leadership to leverage the power of data and analytics technologies for growth
Manage or participate in cross-functional teams to promote technology strategies, analyze and test products, perform proofs-of-concept, and pilot new technologies and/or methods
Strong team leadership
Lead the Data & Analytics team of the OpCo
Develop and upskill the team members
Help in providing opportunities and platforms to reporting team members, get them exposed to wider network and make them build connections
Key requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in business, management, analytics, engineering, information technology or a related discipline
10+ years of working experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science and related field. 3+ years in the lead role engaging with key business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver large scale analytics solutions and projects
Background in FMCG/large industry is preferred
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Strong knowledge of the commercial and consumer space with experience in dealing with one or more of the following different data sets: market share, point of sale, sales, supply chain, sales execution, customer survey, panel, web analytics, social media, and financial data
Able to engage with key business leaders instilling confidence and providing expertise in analytics as well as engage with technical teams to translate needs and ensure solutions are delivered to customer expectations
Analytical skills working with data and mining data to drive insights
Experience with data visualization such as PowerBI etc.
Proven experience in managing a team and Excellent leadership skills
