You will own the R&D function at PxC VN and lead five teams: Electrical, Mechanical, Software Development, Laboratory and Project Management. You will turn company and Group strategy into a local R&D roadmap. You will build a strong engineering team and make sure products are delivered on time, within budget and to quality and compliance targets.
Define the local R&D strategy, roadmap and annual objectives, aligned with Group business areas and technology direction
Plan and control the R&D budget (OPEX/CAPEX): headcount, engineering tools, prototyping, tooling and lab equipment
Build and develop the R&D organization: structure, job levels, staffing and succession
Lead, coach and appraise the R&D team, and hold them accountable for delivery
Prioritize the projects and allocate engineering and lab resources
Run gate reviews and approve key technical decisions and design releases
Make sure products meet safety, EMC and certification requirements (CE/UL) and company quality standards
Work with Production, Process Engineering, Quality and
Purchasing on DFM, NPI and engineering changes
Act as the main R&D contact for Group R&D and headquarters
Report R&D performance, risks and improvement actions to management
