We are looking for 2 Python Backend Developers with a strong data foundation (SQL, data pipelines, workflow orchestration) to join SETA's engineering team.
You will build data-driven backend services and automated workflows that turn manual operational requests into reliable, self-running pipelines - from validation and execution to verification - on Google Cloud. This is a hands-on role for engineers who write clean Python, think in data, and care about reliability.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain
Python backend services and REST APIs
that support operational workflows.
Design and develop
data pipelines and scheduled workflows
with
Airflow / Cloud Composer
and
Pub/Sub
, covering validation, execution, verification and status updates.
Write efficient
SQL
, design data models and work with
BigQuery
and relational databases.
Ensure reliability with
idempotency, retries, error handling, monitoring and audit trails
.
Integrate internal platforms, databases and third-party systems.
Deploy and run services on
GCP
(Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Pub/Sub).
Write automated tests, join code reviews and support
CI/CD
and production releases.
Work with operations and product teams to turn manual processes into self-service workflows.

Your Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of software development experience
(Middle level or above) with
Python
as the main language.
Strong SQL
: complex joins, aggregations, window functions, query optimization, indexing and data modeling.
Solid
Python fundamentals and OOP
; comfortable with live coding.
Experience building
data pipelines or automated workflows
: scheduling (cron), retries,
idempotency
and state management.
Experience building and consuming
REST APIs
and integrating databases and third-party systems.
Hands-on
cloud experience
, preferably
GCP
(AWS or Azure is also acceptable); familiarity with
Docker, Git and CI/CD
.
Working knowledge of
AI/LLM tools
to speed up development is a plus.
Confident English communication
to work directly with international stakeholders.
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with
Airflow / Cloud Composer
or similar orchestrators (Argo Workflows, AWS Step Functions, Temporal, Prefect).
Experience with
BigQuery
or other data warehouses, and streaming tools such as
Pub/Sub or Kafka
.
Experience with data quality, reconciliation or CDC pipelines.
Background in
Network, Telecom, IoT or BSS/OSS
domains, or working with international clients.
