Position: Procurement Specialist
Location: 1152 Lang street, Lang ward, Hanoi
Purpose of the position
Support profitable growth of Sea Freight Business in Vietnam. Work with stakeholders to promote the best
outcomes with Carriers that support our business. He/She will collaborate with Sales, Branches, Network and
COPT departments in the region to optimize allocation, procurement initiatives and FCL
business developmentefforts.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Procurement Specialist
• Carrier relations, procurement and pricing
• Collaborate with Network and COPT departments in the region to optimize procurement initiatives.
• Allocation management process in coordination with Regional, Network and Branch Teams.
• Regular follow-up with Carriers for ad-hoc space and communication through network and sales colleagues
• Support local & network sales to develop Ocean Freight solutions and pricing for locally/network-controlled customers.
• Collaborate and support Tender Management team with solution inputs and quoting local rates
• Analyse routing, rates and understand good options that can bring valuable service
• Build the appropriate pricing strategies correspond with company development strategy
• Processes trade lane ocean freight market analysis in close cooperation with Ocean Freight Business Development of Vietnam
• Complete and submits bid response forms, bid worksheets, and cost summaries to the appropriate requirement
• Any other duty that may assigned by manager and the company.
Job requirements
• Minimum two (2) years logistics/freight forwarding experience.
• Good communication of written and spoken English & local language.
• Self-disciplined and capable of working independently
• IT literacy - comfortable to work with a range of common software
• Good at time management
• Follow policies and procedures and able to understand laws, rules and regulations in areas of assignment
Knowledge about:
• GPM
• Pricing procedure
• Reporting
• Problem solving & marking decision
• Negotiation & communication
• Very good analytical skills
• A good mix of procurement & commercial mindset is vital
• A good understanding of Inco terms
• Good geographical knowledge
