ABOUT THE POSITION

As part of VinUni's vision, the HRBP will help build the people and operational foundations that enable this ambition for VinUniversity's Research Clusters (Find more details HERE). The role will report directly to Recruitment Manager and work closely with Center Directors, faculty members, principal investigators, researchers, and relevant professional departments to support workforce planning, recruitment, appointments, onboarding, project administration, procurement, financial coordination, and other operational matters.
This position offers the opportunity to play an important role in shaping a high-performing research community and directly contributing to VinUniversity's Top 100 vision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the main HR contact for assigned Research Clusters.
Serve as the primary HR partner for all full-time and part-time personnel across the Research Clusters, supporting workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance matters, contract renewal, and offboarding
Develop talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, academic networking, referrals, database development, and engagement with universities, research institutes, and professional communities.
Support academic employer branding initiatives to strengthen the visibility of the assigned Research Clusters, thereby attracting high-quality researchers and academic talent.
Manage appointment documents, contracts, renewals, payments, taxes, and personnel records.
Support research project administration, including staffing, budget tracking, reimbursements, and financial documentation.
Liaise with HR, Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure timely and compliant processes.
Maintain accurate data and prepare regular reports on headcount, contracts, budgets, procurement, and project status.
Support research events, academic visits, and other HR or center activities as assigned.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Graduated from a prestige university in HRM, Business or related field.
05 years of HR experience or equivalent in a sophisticated diverse environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English.
Critical competencies needed: Cultural sensitivity, Communication, Critical thinking, Achievement oriented, Adaptability, Digital literacy, Discipline and Resilience.
Knowledge of labor code and work permit/visa for foreign employees is an advantage.
