Analyse and assess customer designs/samples, machinery requirements whilst ensuring the use of most productive methods in the pricing and costing process. Prepare and install machine layouts, workplace layouts, whilst carrying out method study and work measurements in order to maximize efficiency and productivity.
1. Analyse samples critically, prepare operations breakdowns, analyse motions, assign Standard Minute Values (SMV's) for operations using GSD system and prepare machine layouts in order to facilitate accurate allocation of machines/manpower to obtain optimum output
2. Produce an accurate costing sheet to achieve the competitive price and give the various costing options to customer in order to reduce the price while adding newness to the product.
3. Facilitate the pilot-run for new styles, prepare machine layouts, feeding plans & Standard Work Sheets (STW), whilst participating in change-over meetings and inform the teams accordingly.
4. Provide work study techniques in order to improve the efficiency and the productivity to achieve customer delivery and the quality standard
5. Operate the QCO in order to improve the productivity in production
6. Provide consumption in order to order fabric at initial stage.
7. Analyse and monitor all the product developments are done based on the best manufacturable method in order to improve the operational efficiencies.
8. Review the following reports and communicate with the management and relevant personnel for effective decision making. - Daily efficiency report, - Hourly production file, - Machine requirement reports, - Daily Production Start Date (PSD) report
9. Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management
