Industrialization/ Process Engineer

Job Dimensions:
As a Process Engineer, you will have four main roles:
• Master and control the requirements, parameters, design and characteristics of the process. Ensure the process operates stably during production and complies with IATF standards as well as specific customer requirements.
• Develop processes for new projects (industrialization), ensuring they meet safety, quality, cost, and milestone (SQCM) objectives, while also ensuring seamless new project integration into mass production processes.
• Drive continuous process improvement (Kaizen) for safety, quality, efficiency, material savings, automation, smart processes, process procedures, process documentation, ...
• Work with cross-functional teams (CFT) to respond to mass production problem-solving.
Activities:
DEVELOP PROCESSES FOR NEW PROJECT:
• Study new products and processes and assess process feasibility.
• Design the process flow chart (PFC) based on new products.
• Design the production pattern based on the PFC, including machine cycle time, workstation cycle time balancing, operator quantity, process layout, takt time, and output targets.
• Define Special Characteristics and Critical Characteristics (SCCC) of the process based on new products.
• Prepare the PFMEA and lead PFMEA action plans for new products.
• Prepare technical specifications for new tooling and machines, and work with suppliers to ensure suitable designs in compliance with Hutchinson standards.
• Set up and trial new machines and tooling in the process.
• Conduct process trials following the APQP plan and prepare trial reports.
• Prepare process documents such as Work Instructions (WIs), parameter sheets, and process check sheets, and hand them over to the CFT.
• Summarize lessons learned during process development.
CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT:
• Identify and eliminate hazard risks in the production process.
• Ensure quality through poka-yoke, enhanced WIs, enhanced tooling and machine design, vision systems, and lean processes.
• Increase efficiency through smart workstations, lean processes, improved tooling and machine design, and automation.
• Reduce material consumption during production through new methods and improved tooling and machine design.
• Develop smart processes
MASS PRODUCTION PROBLEM-SOLVING:
• Work daily with cross-functional teams (CFT) to investigate root causes and take both temporary and permanent actions to resolve mass production issues.
• Prepare digital analysis reports using QRQC systems and update lessons learned for mass production.
AUDIT PREPARATION :
• Prepare for audits from IATF and customers
• Take actions to improve process failure points after each audit
