We are looking for Assistant Manager - Packaging Design to join our ambitious team based out of our corporate office in Mumbai. As an AM Packaging Design the core responsibilities will be to lead new Packaging Artwork Creation for India Toothpaste, Toothbrush and Personal Care categories.

Artwork Manager + Artwork Provider for India. Manage projects as per BEAT Guidelines (CP's artwork management system). Maintain brand guidelines as per CP Global Standards. Responsible for printing of packaging material as designed. (PAD), Partner with packaging engineers & industrial design manager to deliver best in class graphics. Train new joiners on the BEAT & Artwork Management process.

Other day to day responsibilities are:

Partner with marketing & cross functional teams for New Graphics Creation.
Liaise with printers for new packaging graphics and modifications.
Plan for pre-press, color management, proofing & shade cards of print for all projects.
Contribute to the structural design of the packaging.
Manage BEAT routing & approval.
Creation of graphics, image retouching, addition or amendment of text matter.
Download Technical Keyline, Specifications, P Codes, and Barcodes from BEAT for artwork creation.
Artwork adaptation to different sizes, layouts and substrates.
Manage Project timelines for artworks from the development stage.
Coordinate between Marketing, Packaging and External Design Agencies on Graphics development.
Impart support to Global and Division on key projects.
Provide approval to proofs, shade cards and if required attend online print approvals at Printer locations.

Project Work:

Focus on Execution of Packaging Graphics, Design & Artwork Management System.

Key Deliverables In the First 3/6/12 Months:

3 Months: On-boarding and integration in the team. Learn and manage the BEAT system.

6 Months: Comprehend CP ways of working and system

12 Months: Fully integrated team member, driving new packaging graphics implementation for India.

Education & Experience:

Required: Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Graphics Design, Architecture, Engineering or Packaging
8 years of Consumer Goods Industry (Required)
8 years of Design experience (Required)
3 year of Project Management Experience (Preferred)
Working knowledge of various Printing processes (Required)
CAD Software, Unigraphics 3D Modeling, Adobe Creative Suite (Required)
Adobe Illustrator (Preferred)
