A system integration specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining and acting as overall administrator for plants systems database, servers, software, hardware, networks, reports and associated applications. This involves working with controls and other information technology teams to plan strategies of execution without interfering with the organization's day-to-day activities. They develop plans and provide technical expertise to ensure the technical architecture is operational and secure throughout the integration process.

Core Responsibilities:

Manage the SQL Server database, other data servers and user security as an administrator

Create new insightful reports/dashboards using SQL, Google data studio, Tableau and maintain existing reports and dashboards.

Responsible for Manufacturing Server management, upgrade and updates in alignment with Colgate/Hill's IT protocols

Backup Plant IT administrator in LAN administration task and on-call coverage.

Coordinate and develop plant KPI screens/dashboards

Assist and lead technological innovation development

Meet yearly plant and department objectives

Manage the Oracle database maintenance and security

Assist with Symach programming and troubleshooting

Coordinate SAP MII transaction monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining reports integrity

Assist with plant system integration projects

Understand and comply with Hill's policies, safety standards, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Food Safety. Identify and report Food Safety issues to management

Education:

Associates degree or equivalent in engineering, data science, computer management, supply chain operations and/or IT or a related technical field.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, data science, computer management, supply chain operations, IT or related field preferred.

Experience:

2 - 6 years experience in similar database and dashboard administration job
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems or similar field preferred
Computer hardware and software programming techniques
LAN, WAN, Networks / Networking
Data Integration tools and protocols
Minimum of two years hands on experience working with database administration, dashboard management and software management in a manufacturing environment

Areas of Knowledge:

Knowledge of SAP Business System interactions with database
Microsoft Desktop Computer Systems
Switched Ethernet, Multi mode fiber, CAT5/CAT6, Cisco Switches, LAN, WAN
Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Siemens, ELAU & PLC Networks (Ethernet/Controlnet)
Support for Wonderware industrial automation software
Support Wonderware Industrial SQL
Front end tool development (Wonderware, VB, Java, HTML, SSRS Reporting Services)
Database maintenance and security
Microsoft Active Directory Business File Server,
Google Tools /DataStudio / Reports
Plant Floor Systems, MS SQL/Industrial SQL Server,

Key Competencies:

Managing Database and Report Administration:

Plant Administrator for SQL, Google data studio, Tableau, reports and dashboards.
Close collaboration with controls and operations to achieve plant objectives
Ensure data feeders and data flows are healthy at all times with 100% data integrity
Understands technical processes in the plant and give insightful solutions
Drive system integration projects and establish self as a key resource in a team
Self starter and customer focused

Server and System Architecture Management:

Management and maintenance of database servers and associated architecture
Management and maintenance of report servers and associated architecture
Management and maintenance of dashboard screens, associated network and infrastructure
Ability to work with cross functional teams for updates and upgrades
Communicate and escalate system issues with Global IT team and ensure implementation of solutions in time

Continuous Improvement:

Selecting and applying continuous improvement tools to drive growth, profitability and people development.
Makes use of available continuous improvement tools for driving plant efficiency
