The purpose of this role is to carry out the assigned duties, which include but no limit to:
- Assist in preparing ship arrangements, outfit and accommodation drawings at the concept, basic and functional design levels;
- Assist in preparing safety plans to IMO regulations for submission to Classification Societies;
- Assist in the specification and layout of deck equipment;
- Assist in preparing outfit weight estimates;
- Develop 3D compartment arrangements for space allocation and visualization purposes;
- Participate in a team working environment, both intra-office and inter-office;
- Complete all work assignments and goals reliably and within deadlines. Adapt well to changes in work assignments or goals. Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information;
- Able to reflect on information received through observation and experience to assist in solving problems;
- Share ideas, concerns and solutions with the team.

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor degree within Structural, Naval Architecture, Marine engineer or equivalent engineering.
Other Requirements:
- Have 0 to 3 years of post-graduation experience in the industry;
- Have a good understanding of primary computer software programs necessary to complete Position Objectives (i.e. MS Office products, etc.);
- Have basic knowledge/ familiarity with ship design process and other ship design disciplines (stability, structure, outfitting);
- Have basic knowledge of Classification Society Rules, Industry Regulations and Codes and other relevant standards;
- Have a basic knowledge of 2D drafting (AutoCAD) and 3D modeling;
- Clearly and effectively communicates to ensure that key and critical information is shared promptly;
- Communicates clearly in English and can complete work within budget and deadlines;
- Continuously adapts behaviour and approaches to address specific situations;
