About the Role
As a Junior Full Stack Developer at Hype Reel, you will work alongside our senior developers, product managers, and
designers to build and maintain user-facing features and backend services. You will write clean Python backend APIs, craft responsive React components, and contribute directly to core product features.
What You Will Do
Full-Stack Development: Develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Python (Django REST Framework) on the backend, with React on the frontend as a key requirement/plus.
API Integration: Design, build, and integrate secure RESTful APIs and third-party services.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality, efficient, and secure solutions.
Code Maintenance & Quality: Write clean, readable code, participate in peer code reviews, and write unit/integration tests to ensure application reliability.
Optimization & Debugging: Identify performance bottlenecks, fix bugs across the stack, and optimize database queries for speed and scalability
What We're Looking For
You have a bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field
You have strong expertise in Python, including proficiency in frameworks like Django, Postgres SQL to build scalable, secure, and efficient APIs for dynamic applications
You can speak English well
You have experience with the design and implementation of APIs
You have some experience with AWS
You are a strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills
You understand code management tools such as Git
This position is fully on-site
