Role Summary & Impact
Are you an experienced
developer with 2-3 years of expertise looking to push the boundaries of Generative AI and cloud-native architecture? DD Consulting is seeking a Junior/Mid-Level AI & Automation Engineer. In this role, you will leverage advanced and innovative AI tools to build AI tools and systems, utilizing custom Python/JavaScript engineering to architect sophisticated automated workflows and modern software ecosystems for global clients.
What You'll Do
● AI Systems Engineering: Architect and develop advanced AI tools and systems, creating high-performance automated pipelines through robust backend engineering.
● Custom Scripting: Write clean Python and JavaScript/TypeScript code to handle API calls, data transformations, and custom backend logic.
● Data Preparation & APIs: Clean, format, and validate data streams in SQL, Excel, or vector stores to feed into LLM prompts.
● Cloud Infrastructure Support: Learn to set up and deploy basic AWS serverless infrastructure (S3, Lambda, API Gateway) under senior engineer guidance.
● Documentation & Testing: Maintain technical documentation, draft clear SOPs, and conduct basic software quality checks.
First 90 Days Milestones
● Month 1 (AWS Certifi cation Focus): Complete onboarding, study and achieve the AWS Certifi ed Cloud Practitioner certifi cation (fully sponsored focus), and build 2 live low-code AI automations.
● Month 2: Connect live LLM API endpoints (OpenAI, Claude, Bedrock) into business workfl ows using custom Python/JS code.
● Month 3: Complete end-to-end technical delivery of a client workfl ow; evaluate full-time conversion performance.
Candidate Prerequisites
● Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or
Software Engineering, with 2-3 years of professional experience in AI development or complex systems automation.
● Core Coding: Good working knowledge of Python or JavaScript/[protected info] (demonstrated via portfolio, GitHub, or prior work).
● Technical Expertise: Deep familiarity with advanced AI frameworks, vector databases, and innovative Generative AI tooling for building enterprise-grade systems.
● AWS Certification (Preferred): AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (or commitment to pass the exam in Month 1 with company assistance).
● Communication & Overlap: Fluent English (written and spoken) and 4-6 hours daily overlap during Australian Business Hours (AEST).
● AI Tooling: Hands-on experience using agentic AI coding tools to accelerate development and automate complex engineering tasks.
