A. JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for innovative data engineers to build and evolve our leading financial products. You will work with a team of young and talented engineers to build robust and scalable big data pipelines, conduct advanced research in implementing state-of-the-art ML and AI techniques, build high-quality data services that are both streaming and batch-based.
B. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure data quality for machine learning model development.
- Operationalize data processes - provide the team with ad-hoc analysis, automated dashboards, and self-service reporting tools so that everyone gets a good sense of the state of the business
- Collaborate with Data Analysts to build BI reporting systems and analytical dashboards.
- Support Data Scientists in retrieving, processing, and preparing data for model training.
- Efficiently prioritize and execute what's important: prioritize for both speed and impact, and aggressively optimize for return by focusing on work output that scales well and is reusable
- Maintain a culture of high quality output and exceptional customer service: effectively communicate at all levels, ensure that work gets done well and on time, respond effectively to unexpected obstacles and reallocate resources as necessary
Your Skills and Experience
- Experience in data processing and distributed data processing, preferably with the Hadoop ecosystem, HDFS, Hive, YARN, Apache Spark, Apache Spark Streaming, Apache Flink, Apache Airflow, Pandas, Polars, and dbt
- Proficient in SQL and familiar with common database systems such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, ClickHouse
- Proficient in version control tools such as Git, and familiar with CI/CD processes.
- Technical background and programming experience-especially Python, Java
- Familiar with Linux, ability to operate systems and handle basic troubleshooting
- Nice to have skills: experience in container technology, Kubernetes, modern data stack,
- Experience developing dashboards with tools such as Metabase, Grafana
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, self-assess, and ensure the quality of output for each task
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent team player with ability to maintain strong internal and external relationships
