Develop and maintain basic UI & API test scripts in TypeScript/JavaScript (Playwright or similar) under mentorship.
Contribute to mobile test suites using WebDriver IO where applicable.
Run automated test suites in local and CI environments.
Capture logs, screenshots, and video evidence file well-structured bug reports.
Re-test resolved defects and updated results.
Trigger and monitor test jobs in GitHub Actions pipelines.
Investigate failed automation runs and escalate findings.
Document test cases, data sets, and execution results in the team's test-management tool.
Participate in sprint ceremonies, test-planning sessions, and code reviews.
Provide clear status updates and proactively seek guidance when blocked.
Suggest small enhancements to frameworks or test data generation.
Keep up with QA automation trends and share learnings with the team.
1-2 years of hands-on software-testing or programming experience (internships count).
Basic proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript or another modern language.
Exposure to at least one automation tool or framework (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, WebDriver IO).
Foundational understanding of software-testing concepts (functional vs. non-functional, smoke vs. regression, etc.).
Familiarity with Git for version control.
Comfortable using command-line tools and reading build/test logs.
Good written and verbal communication; ability to explain issues clearly.
Strong learning mindset and problem-solving attitude.
Bachelor's degree (or final-year student) in Computer Science,
Software Engineering, or a related discipline - OR equivalent practical experience.
Prefer
Coursework or hobby projects using Playwright, WebDriver IO, or Cucumber/BDD.
Basic API-testing experience (Postman, REST-assured, or similar).
Awareness of CI/CD principles and pipeline tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
Exposure to performance-testing fundamentals (e.g., K6, JMeter).
Knowledge of mobile-testing basics (Android/iOS simulators).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for test environments.
ISTQB Foundation Level or intent to certify within 12 months.
Understanding Agile/Scrum workflows and ceremonies.
