ABOUT THIS POSITION:
We are seeking a hands-on Precision Machining Specialist to support the manufacturing of high-precision ceramic and advanced material components used in high-tech applications.
This role is responsible for CNC programming, machine setup, process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities to ensure product quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering and Production teams to support new product introduction, qualification activities, and advanced manufacturing operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CNC Programming & Machining Operations
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment according to technical drawings and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to improve machining performance and productivity.
- Select and configure tooling, fixtures, materials, and machining parameters to achieve required product specifications and tolerances.
- Ensure machining processes comply with work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Perform dimensional inspections and document manufacturing results.
Process Improvement & Technical Support
- Analyze machining processes, identify losses and inefficiencies, and implement improvements to reduce cycle time and manufacturing costs.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixture, and process-related issues to support stable production.
- Support qualification activities, engineering trials, new product introduction (NPI), and process validation.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams on process changes, supplier qualification, and manufacturing improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, yield, and operational efficiency.
Documentation & Training
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and technical records.
- Support ISO-compliant manufacturing processes and documentation requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and training to machinists and production personnel.
- Promote workplace safety, 6S practices, and continuous learning within the team.
