Lean Way of Working (Wow) Leader

1. Lean Transformation Expertise:
• Develop a deep understanding of our organization's Lean Business System, including Lean For All Academy, Operating System, and Standardization. (Lean For All Academy is an internal Lean development program)
• Articulate the purpose, elements, and interconnections of the Lean Business System to various stakeholders, fostering alignment and commitment and engagement at all levels of the organization, in the context of a new terminal where Lean culture is not yet established.
• Apply Lean Principles, Systems, and Tools to real-world business contexts, ensuring practical and sustainable implementation.
• Lead and facilitate Lean initiatives, including 5S, Standardized Process, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, Training Within Industry, Transactional Process Improvement, SMED, Policy Deployment and Just In Time terminal operations.
• Innovate ways to apply Lean methodologies to challenge existing mindsets and behaviors, leading to tangible performance improvements.
2. Change Leadership:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive Lean transformation roadmap, guiding the organization towards a Lean culture.
• Drive change by effectively managing and influencing stakeholders, including coaching senior leaders on Policy Deployment and Lean Leadership.
• Foster a culture of servant leadership, leading by example and influencing others to embrace Lean principles.
• Manage conflicts and diverging interests, navigate challenges, performance management, and delegation.
3. Leadership Development:
• Mentor and coach teams in the application of Lean tools, from Work Instruction creation to Leader Standard Work implementation.
• Deliver engaging and impactful training sessions, including Lean For All Academy levels, Leader Standard Work (Lean Leadership program), TWI Work Instruction, and Job Instruction.
• Develop and enhance training materials, creating a terminal learning plan to prioritize training initiatives based on business needs.
4. Problem Solving and Analysis:
• Utilize structured Problem Solving methodology to identify causes, impact, root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Lead problem-solving initiatives to enhance processes and performance, ensuring quantifiable business impact.
• Drive continuous improvement through effective Kaizen facilitation, selecting and prioritizing the right Kaizen types (Kaikaku, Kaizen Event, Kata Kaizen, Daily Kaizen), planning, executing, and sustaining events.
5. Strategic Business Partnership:
• Think strategically beyond day-to-day operations, aligning Lean initiatives with long-term business objectives.
• Foster innovative thinking and data-driven decision-making, analyzing and interpreting data to derive insights and drive informed choices.
• Collaborate closely with the terminal leadership team, understanding their needs and aligning Lean initiatives with business strategies.
6. Communication and Influence:
• Communicate complex topics with clarity and simplicity, employing storytelling, visualization, and effective communication techniques.
• Inspire and motivate teams and individuals at all organizational levels, building credibility and trust through active listening and relationship-building.
• Influence without authority, convincing others and finding common ground while maintaining positive relationships. Communicate based on data and facts and be a role model to others.
