Legal Officer

A Legal Officer is responsible for overseeing legal aspects of the company's business to ensure the company follows with the rules of the law correctly and safely. Also, he/she will give legal advice for managements regarding all relevant issues under the Vietnam labor law. The successful candidate will effectively ensure legal conformity and minimize probability of exposure.
• Advising executives and employees about the changes of the laws affecting the company;
• Investigating whether the company or a staff member does not comply with the law;
• Working with the company's law firm to oversee potential lawsuits;
• Ensuring the company fills out and submits all its legal paper works;
• Giving accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.);
• Collaborating with the management to devise efficient defense strategies;
• Specifying internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance;
• Reviewing existing signed contracts to ensure they comply with the corporate objectives;
• Advising contract renewals and commenting proposed wording and changes to the terms and conditions;
• Ensuring business activities are relevant and balanced with the business license and the corresponding scope of service;
• Applying effective risk management techniques and offering proactive advices on possible legal issues;
• Communicating, negotiating with external parties (regulators, external counsels, public authorities, corporate partners, etc.) and creating relations of trust;
• Drafting and consolidating agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company has full legal rights;
• Providing clarification of legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization;
• Conducting the work with high integrity and responsibility;
• Maintaining updated knowledge on current legislation affecting the company's business operation.
