1. Sales support:
• Provide legal advice, counseling and service, addressing existing and potential legal matters in daily work as well as key projects to enable the achievement of strategic and commercial goals in alignment with the applicable law.
• Handle crises/disputes.
• Product development support, review TnC, policy kit, marketing materials, ...
• Review distribution agreement with partners.
• Support the business in the effective identification, management and mitigation of legal risks.
2. Operations support:
• Provide legal advice & service to support OP in legal matters arising from their operation.
• Support OP to handle customer complaints.
3. Litigation handling:
• Handle non-claim, claim litigation to protect GVL's legal interest.
• Present as GVL's authorized representative at court, police, procuracy.
• Preparation of supporting documents and co-ordination with the GVL's external lawyers (if any) in litigation and make sure that General Counsel and EMT are well updated on litigation.
4. Contract review:
• Review the terms and provisions of contracts/agreements with the suppliers
5. Corporate governance:
• Ensure that GVL's activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist Accountable Functions in ensuring that business policies, procedures and practices are in line with the internal regulations and applicable laws.
6. Regulatory advice & Legal update:
• Give advice & update on insurance regulatory changes to the relevant divisions.
• Provide comment/opinion on draft laws/regulations to competent authorities.
• Work with Corporate Compliance to do gap analysis/gap assessment.
7. Team Management
• Providing training to team members on insurance operations matters and compliance requirements.
• Align the team's objectives, goals and targets with Company objectives.
• Foster and maintain the supportive, flexible clear and consistent culture for team members.
