RMIT Vietnam Library
The RMIT Vietnam Library brings an international-standard library service to the students, alumni and staff of RMIT Vietnam. RMIT Vietnam Library provides teaching of academic literacies, marketing, events, publishing, copyright advice and strategic leadership, in addition to managing knowledge both in hard copy and in digital formats. In addition, the Library curates the University's contemporary Vietnamese art collection in both physical and digital formats. As the largest English-language library in Vietnam, the RMIT Vietnam Library offers the equivalent access to the full range of online resources offered by RMIT University Library in Melbourne, Australia.
The role & key responsibilities
Liaison Librarians are responsible for liaising with customer groups within a nominated program(s), managing the development and delivery of digital literacy, digital inclusion and research support for the nominated program(s), developing and maintaining collections in nominated areas, and contributing to the strategic development of information services across the Library.
Key selection criteria
- Relevant degree and/or postgraduate qualification and relevant experience and training sufficient to undertake the duties required.
- An understanding of contemporary teaching, learning and research issues in academic environments.
- Demonstrated and extensive Library experience in liaising in an academic library.
- Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative work teams, locally and internationally and also to work independently.
- Experience in working with the same position.
- Demonstrated knowledge of trends and best practice in libraries to support students and staff in higher education.
- Demonstrated and extensive experience in reference work, during which a broad range of knowledge and expertise of discipline-relevant information sources has been acquired

English proficiency requirements
If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard at a BULATS Intermediate level (BULATS score 60), equivalent to IELTS (General) 5.5. RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a BULATS test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
