Job purpose - General summary and scope
The Global Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in our Supply Chain and Logistics team. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen understanding of global logistics, transportation, and regulatory compliance. Other responsibility includes
liaising with freight forwarder and factory to ensure timely delivery of orders with the most efficient, cost-effective, sea / air freight of goods to each market - US, Canada, UK, Europe (The Netherlands), Australia and New Zealand.
Key duties and responsibilities
International Freight Management:
• Ensure factory order is ready time and contact forwarder to arrange shipment booking.
• Coordinate the transportation of goods through sea or air freight to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with forwarder to book suitable sailing on sea freight booking and negotiate rates to optimize cost-efficiency on air freight booking.
• Monitor shipments in real-time and address any delays or issues that may arise.
Customs Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to import / export regulations, tariffs, and customs documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with forwarder / customs brokers to facilitate the smooth clearance of goods.
• Stay updated on changes in international free trade regulations / agreements and changes in duty tariffs.
Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of vessel sailing, ETD and ETA of shipment booking.
• Coordinate with forwarder and internal teams to manage shipment booking and delivery to warehouse at destination.
• Provide weekly shipment report for internal teams visibility on all shipment bookings.
Documentation and Record-keeping
• Maintain organized records of shipments, invoices, and customs documentation.
• Ensuring accuracy of freight charges and approving forwarder invoice for payment.
Communication:
• To correspond with internal teams, forwarder and factories as required in a timely manner.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of shipments and any relevant issues.
Yêu cầu
You will require good communication skills, good levels of numeracy and a strong attention to detail. Previous experience in customs procedures would be helpful.
Qualifications:
• Qualification in Logistics Field or proven experience in global logistics and international supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and international trade compliance.
• Ability to work to deadline.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic global environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Multilingual capabilities and cultural awareness are a plus.
Specialized knowledge:
• Knowledge of classification, international incoterms and origin rules are desirable.
