logistics & Sourcing ManagerTHE REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE OF LA-Z-BOY GLOBAL LIMITED IN HO CHI MINH CITY

BASIC FUNCTION:



Manages, directs, coordinates, and improves the foreign logistics operations comprising all La-Z-Boy imports from, exports to, and consolidation services in Asia. Responsible for category sourcing and procurement in Asia (cover, raw materials and components, lamps and accessories, finished case goods, or finished upholstered furniture) - developing and implementing category / supply chain strategies that reduce total landed costs while exceeding LZB standards for quality and delivery.



SPECIFIC DUTIES:



• Supervise contracts, off-shore warehousing, load building, and consolidation operations;

• Select and manage carriers for intra-Asia deliveries;

• Responsible for supplier performance measurements/scorecards and prioritizing supplier continuous improvement activities;

• Establish and cultivate key stakeholder relationships across all business units, building trust and support for the GTC;

• Interface with traffic managers at the destination facilities and maintain visibility to internal customer needs;

• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities: increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving customer service;

• Perform financial and statistical analyses and management reporting on logistics and Sourcing activities; provide all reporting as required;

• Develops and implements sourcing/logistic strategies that satisfy business requirements for design, cost, quality, delivery, and compliance;

• Collaborates with business teams in Merchandising, R&D, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to select and qualify suppliers and ensure that strategies support business unit objectives;

• Responsible for commercial relationship with suppliers/forwarders, including pricing and contract negotiation;

• Develops and maintains strategic relationships with suppliers using logistic/sourcing best practices;

• Works with suppliers to develop strategic plans to secure production capacity, logistics space and raw materials and to drive shipping/production process efficiency;

• Leads strategic, cross-functional efforts focused on reducing sourcing costs and improving service and quality; identifies and implements cost savings opportunities through alternative purchasing, sourcing, and / or logistics channels;

• Oversees purchase order tracking and management processes; proactively addresses delivery issues;
