Job Summary:
A strategic role responsible for driving product competitiveness, technical credibility, and innovation in the Vietnamese market. The Product Marketing Manager leads product lifecycle management, OEM collaboration, and technical knowledge development while coordinating closely with R&D, Sales, Technical Services, and external partners. The role ensures successful product development, market introduction, and continuous product improvement aligned with industry trends and customer needs.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Product Development & Management
• Lead the development of new engine oil products tailored to the Vietnamese market.
• Manage the full product lifecycle-from concept, development, launch, to phase-out.
• Ensure product compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
• Create marketing materials, technical brochures, and sales enablement tools.
• Ensure product information is consistently managed across all platforms (website, B2B, iCheck, Scantrust, QR verification tools).
• Support feasibility studies and marketing strategies for emerging product trends such as EV-compatible lubricants.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
• Develop and lead product knowledge and technical training programs.
• Ensure all customer-facing teams are well-informed on product specifications and application techniques.
• Deliver hands-on technical training to internal staff and external partners on product usage and maintenance.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and webinars to strengthen product knowledge across stakeholders.
Technical Service & Support
• Conduct oil analysis/testing to support product performance evaluation and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical consultation to customers, sales teams, and distributors on product applications and best practices.
• Investigate and resolve technical complaints or field issues in collaboration with QA, R&D, and sales teams.
• Oversee product field trials, gather performance data, and refine product positioning based on real-world usage.
• Provide guidance on proper product storage, handling, shelf life, and HSE compliance.
OEM Partnership Development
• Develop and manage relationships with OEM partners to strengthen Motul's technical positioning in the automotive industry.
• Coordinate product testing, validation, and homologation processes required for OEM collaboration.
• Identify opportunities for co-development projects, technical partnerships, and joint marketing initiatives with OEMs.
Work closely with R&D and technical teams to translate OEM requirements into product development priorities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Lead and manage cross-functional project teams where required.
• Serve as a brand ambassador by maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Coordinate with Sales, Technical, R&D, and Supply Chain departments to ensure product goals and market needs alignment.
• Build partnerships with academic institutions and technical partners for innovation and training support.
Yêu cầu
Qualification & Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Chemical Engineering (Petrochemical), or related technical fields.
• A Master's degree (MBA or technical specialization) is an advantage.
Background & Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or product management, preferably in:
• Lubricants
• Automotive industry
• Industrial technical products
• Strong understanding of engine oil products, applications, and customer segments in the Vietnamese market.
Professional skills
• Ability to translate technical product features into commercial value propositions
• Strong experience in:
• Product lifecycle management
• Go-to-market strategy
• Technical documentation & training content
• Good presentation skills, especially for technical audience (mechanics, engineers, distributors)
Inter-Personal skills
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to link market insight + technical performance
• Effective cross-functional collaboration (Sales, Technical, R&D)
• Proactive, hands-on, and problem-solving attitude.
