Manual Test Engineer QA QC, Android

Job summary:

• The SW Manual Test Engineer will help with the testing work load for new product testing and product maintenance testing. The test engineer will develop new test plans, test requirements and test procedures for Mobile Computers (a smartphone-like device) mostly on Android platform.
• The position will be responsible for validating Mobile Computer products from product requirements. The position will report the defects in the defect tracking system and validating the software fixes. The subsystems include bar code scanning, wired and wireless communications, power management, user interface, and customized applications

Specific responsibilities:

• Create and update test cases based on product documents
• Perform regression tests for each test cycles and track test result on test management tool
• Find and report defects into defect tracking system
• Provide test result report for test leaders
• Collaborate with team members and developers during product lifecycle

Technical Skills:

• Experience in reading documents and design test cases effectively
• Very good at defect finding and reporting.
• Be attention to details but also be able to validate product as a whole
• Experience in Mobile App or Mobile device (Android platform) testing is a plus
• Experience in IBM Jazz or another 3rd party defect tracking tool is a plus.
• Experience in automated test for Android app or Android platform is a plus

Soft Skills:

• Good judgment, communication, consultancy and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team and as an individual tester
• Work under pressure and tight deadlines

Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science or equivalent

Primary Language: English (reading, writing, speaking)
