Maths And Science Head Teacher

Quality:
Take direct responsibility for quality of Maths and Science classes at 8A centres. Observe teachers, give feedback and conduct training aimed at improving delivery of these classes
Proactively consult with internal and external stakeholders to follow up on academic issues, complaints and meet parents as needed.
Take responsibility for understanding, tracking, and improving student renewal for Maths and Science
Management:
Take overall line management responsibility for assigned teachers, including ensuring they follow 8A programmes, policies, admin requirements, and codes of conduct.
Uphold and exemplify the core 8A values and brand promises.
Track key information and performance metrics for Maths and Science classes
Mentor, support, and train junior Maths and Science teachers and identify and nurture 8A academic talent.
Assist in interviewing Maths and Science teacher candidates, teacher performance evaluation reviews and re-hiring and salary decisions.
Training and Meetings:
Organise training and development activities for Maths and Science teachers based on identified needs and organise regular meetings/information sharing.
Attend and actively contribute to Academic meetings and run sessions sharing best practices and new initiatives.
Research, prepare and deliver quarterly, formal academic workshops on key academic topics.
R&D:
Collaborate with the Academic Director to help create, improve and adjust Maths and Science programmes and curriculum at 8A.
Contribute to R& projects such as the Summer programme to include
Teaching:
Teach a minimum of 40 hours per calendar month, with overtime for extra teaching
Collaborate with the operations manager to help to cover classes and find substitute teachers when required.
Take main responsibility for Academic Health Checks (Placement tests) at cluster centres.
5 day working week, with choice of day off. 43 hours on-site and minimum of 40 hours teaching per month. Based at Head Office (Sala), District 10 and Binh Tan centres.
