Role Purpose: Responsible for overseeing and delivering mechanical engineering tasks across projects, ensuring that all designs comply with technical, regulatory, and quality standards within agreed deadlines.
• Maintains regular communication with
project managers to ensure clarity on project requirements and client expectations.
• Review client requirements, specifications, and standards, and develop engineering design documents to a project-ready level complying with above written.
• Collaborate with colleagues to discuss technical matters and resolve project-related issues.
• Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documents such as but not limited to drawings, P&IDs, layouts, datasheets, procedures, installation manuals, and calibration/testing reports, ensuring accuracy and technical quality.
• Deliver engineering documentation within agreed deadlines.
• Follow the mechanical engineering scope through all stages, from to final as-built documentation.
• Ensure all mechanical designs comply with the Client's engineering standards and relevant regulations, including NORSOK, ISO, EN, DNV, NFPA, etc., and project-specific requirements.
• Bachelor's degree (minimum) or Master's degree (preferred) in Mechanical or Process Engineering (or related fields).
• At least 7 years of relevant engineering experience in the EPC, offshore, maritime, or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of firefighting systems, piping, hydraulics, and project execution processes; Ability to produce P&IDs, GAs, Datasheets, etc.
• Working knowledge of engineering processes, documentation control, and QA/HSE requirements.
• Understanding of project execution phases (engineering, procurement, FAT, commissioning).
• Understanding of relevant standards (NORSOK, ISO, DNV, NFPA, etc).
• Proficient in Pipenet.
• Advanced English proficiency (both written and vocal).
• Independent, proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented.
