- Implement machinery and equipment improvement projects according to the factory's project management process.
- Understand machinery and equipment, gather information from departments and users to propose improvement solutions.
- Develop concept designs for improvement projects.
- Design detailed plans for machinery and equipment improvement projects.
- Create Scope of Work (SOW) for projects requiring contractors, specifying installation standards, technical specifications, acceptance standards, related drawings, etc.
- Work with contractors to survey and clarify project information as required by the SOW.
- Present solutions with contractors to relevant departments to unify the approach.
- Coordinate with the
purchasing department to review contract terms.
- Work with contractors to propose construction methods suitable for the factory.
- Plan and monitor project progress.
- Supervise and inspect technical aspects during contractor processing and installation.
- Prepare periodic progress reports for direct management.
- Be responsible for the progress, quality, safety, and budget of all assigned improvement projects.
- Coordinate with contractors and departments for testing and acceptance.
- Complete project handover documentation with contractors: drawings, SMP, SOP, etc.
- Monitor handed-over projects to users and ensure resolution of any issues with machinery and equipment (if any).
- Participate/support maintenance tasks as assigned by line manager.
- Compile training materials related to assigned machinery and equipment systems.
- Conduct training for users and relevant departments.
- Comply with and effectively implement KPIs related to EHS and fire prevention.
- Support other tasks as requested by superiors.
- Graduated from College or University majoring in mechanical engineering, machine design, mechatronics, electronics, automation, industrial management, etc.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar or related position in manufacturing plants, preferably candidates from heavy industries such as iron, steel, cement, gypsum, animal feed, etc.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering, mechatronics.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic systems: oil pumps, oil valves, hydraulic cylinders, etc.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic circuits: air compressors, control valves, cylinders, other actuators.
- Basic understanding of mechanical transmission structures (belts, chains, bearings, etc.)
- Experience in project implementation and management in other factories.
- Proficient in using Autocad and Solidworks.
- Basic understanding of safety standards (Loto, working at heights, confined spaces, electrical safety, etc.), mechanical standards (ASME, BS, JIS, ASTM, TCVN, AWS...)
- English ability at an intermediate level or higher. Able to work with foreign experts to implement projects.
