- Assist in the management and supervision of Contract Packages relating to Electrical Works (HV, LV, ELV) and Mechanical (HVAC, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Drainage, BMS) and others as deemed necessary by the Project Director/
Project Manager.
- Assist the MEP Manager, Chief Supervisor and / or Project Manager / Director to prepare any Project reports
- Assists in the organizing, planning and scheduling of the works staying within budget and to the quality specified. Protect and promote the interest of Turner and Client in all matters
- Assist in the development of Packaging and Procurement Strategies, Design Master Schedule, Design Brief and Scope of Services for various Design Consultancy Packages
- Evaluate and provide recommendations for MEP Consultant Prequalification. Participate in the Tender process including: preparing responses to technical queries, evaluating alternatives proposed by the tenderers, evaluating and scoring technical submissions
- Perform all MEP fields inspections. Coordinate the works on site with the activities of inspection agencies as necessary.
- Responsible for managing the material, shop drawings, method statement, ITP submission and approval processes for the assigned MEP packages
- Manage the BIM process including clash analysis
- Daily interaction with Client and Design Team Members to ensure queries / submittals are being responded to in a timely manner
- Assist in review of VO's, IPC for technical input of scope or works compete
- Assist in the management of the Contractor RFI and Submittal Process. Develop and implement document number and workflow procedures. Review the Responses to RFIs and Comments on Submittals to ensure variations are not introduced by the Consultant without prior written authorizations by the Client
- Review and comment on the following Contractor Submittals: Master Schedule, Look Ahead Schedule, Submittal and Procurement Schedule, Logistics Plans, Method Statements, QA/QC Plan, and the like
- Participate in Value Engineering Workshops and liaise with the Contractor, Design Consultants, Cost Consultant and the Client to seek agreement on proposed design amendments
- Coordinate with Commercial Engineer/ Quantity Surveyor regarding the changes made in the field
- Manage the T&C and Close Out process
- University Degree in MEP Engineering; Relevant Certifications and Licences as required by current legislation
- A minimum of 9 years experience as an MEP/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineer is required
- Good command of English and an ability to write technical reports
- Solid understanding of the construction/ installation process and application of MEP Design and Engineering best practices
- High-rise construction experience; 5-Star Hotel Experience
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multicultural team
- Strong computer skills and hands-on ability to utilize project management control systems
- High integrity and ethics; a desire to "do the right thing" when faced with adversity
- Willingness to travel within Vietnam and Internationally
