Job summary:
We are seeking a Mid-Senior Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to Banking projects. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services that support core banking operations, financial transactions, account management, and banking system integrations.
Job Description:
Design, build, and maintain backend systems using
Java (8 / 21+)
and
Spring Boot
, including modular / hexagonal architectures where applicable.
Implement
RESTful APIs
, domain services, scheduled jobs, and
Spring Batch
(or equivalent) pipelines for large report ingestion, transformation, and downstream posting flows.
Experience with RDBMS: PostgreSQL, Oracle and/or MySQL; comfortable writing and improving SQL.
Build and support cloud workloads on
AWS
, including
Lambda
,
Secrets Manager
, S3, ALB, and related IAM patterns.
Collaborate with frontend engineers on API contracts for a
React SPA
.
Work with CI/CD and releases using
Git
,
GitLab CI
and/or
Jenkins
,
Docker
, and production-oriented deployments (e.g. Nomad / containerized services).
Participate actively in code reviews, refactoring, and technical discussions; share knowledge and help raise team standards.
Use
AI-assisted development tools (Cursor / similar)
productively for design, coding, refactoring, and reviews - while owning correctness, security, and maintainability of the final code.
Partner with ops and business stakeholders to stabilize production flows and improve settlement / fintech delivery practices.
Ability to develop proC and compile with GCC is a plus
Your Skills and Experience
Technical Skills
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
4+ years of experience with Java backend development.
Knowledge 1 of domains: fintech, e-commerce settlement, marketplace finance reports, reconciliation, or fintech / ERP (SAP) integrations.
Solid knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, RESTful APIs, asynchronous/scheduled processing, and security basics (JWT, Spring Security).
